Why post?
Because there was information that was new (or I had forgotten) to me and possibly to others here about Pelinis style of defense.
Namely, that he dictates to offenses what they can do. Largely through blitzing. He asks a lot of the strong safety position (he mentioned laron Landry and chad Jones and Craig Steltz as examples) and that Jacoby Stevens will have a big year. Listening to him makes me think of Venables and Isaiah Simmons.
He also said that Pelini won’t go to a 4-3 year one. He will run a 3-4 until the personnel allows him to run a 4-3.
Lastly, the guy loves coach Pelini.

I love Shep. He told me happy bday on facebook once, so we're pretty close.

I enjoyed watching Shep play. This sounds logical. I would, however, expect a slightly different approach now from Pelini. He will adjust for the personell too.
