LSU Finishes with #4 Recruiting Class

Lock it up baws!
Bama - 311 pts
Georgia - 309 pts
Clemson - 309 pts
LSU - 300 pts
Even if we get Burch, that puts us at 307 points. Best case scenario (points wise), we lose CamRon and add Mckinley still puts us at 310 points. Georgia and Clemson both still have room to jump up.
On the bright side, nobody behind us has room to jump us. #4 ain't bad at all my guys! We will see the championship payoff next year. Also, Georgia looks like they will finish #1. Any time it's not Bama is a WIN!!!

This is an unbelievable class as is, but Burch would make it awesome. Could really use an elite pass rusher.

Losing CamRon actually drops are average and if he qualifies hes in, but I don't think the rankings are final, 247 has only released their top 247 players so far so some of our guys can still get big bumps

The way i see it is this: Currently, we're in a tier by ourselves. The top tier is Bama/Clemson/UGA, the second tier is LSU, the third tier is Ohio State, the fourth tier is TAMU/Florida/etc. If we get Burch, we'll be in the top tier--basically, if we add him you can't definitively argue that anybody has a better class than ours; at that point, it's all personal preference.
God i'm salivating over the prospect of this front 7....

I agree. A few half points in recruiting means nothing when it comes to developing the guys you got. All top players should be great. Will they all be, no just hope you get the right ones!

frick Bama, Clemson, and UGA, we beat all three of their asses, and that's with not having better classes in the past few cycles, I trust this staff and their judgements on the kids we have, Lets Geaux!!

They have ALREADY updated Dwight McGlothern..they dropped him! 1 week ago, 247 itself had him ranked 666...now he is 689. Unless they plan to update him twice in 1 week, DM has already been re-rated...they dropped him 23 spots.

Except that they cited the All Star games as the reason for the big Bama bumps. Funny how it didn't move the needle on other guys.

I’d say the top tier is 4 deep. Look at some of our lower rated guys on 247. There are rated higher on other sites

Don't know who the victim was, but Clemson had 6 5* yesterday, only 5 5* today. Hey, it isn't enough to bump the Alabama guys, you have to drop the Clemson ones.

Pelini just got handed the keys to another power 5 Head Coaching job with this announcement. What I mean is he is going to do the same thing he did last time he came to LSU, which is fine by me. That would mean he is lighting it up as our DC which with our talent it’s a no-brainer!
So you damn skippy he is stoked, the LSU job just got him a $4mil 6/7 year contract at some power 5 school watch and see
