Did the deformed little girl serve any role besides showing the need for the group to breed with outsiders?

She drew pictures from which the elders would write the latest chapter of their sacred texts.

One of the more disturbing movies I’ve ever seen

Got ya. I was hoping she served a bigger role that I missed.

Yeah, I loved it. I was still thinking about it days later.

I still need to finish it, I fought in the theater and had to leave.

I was high as hell when I watched it. I thought it was one of the funniest movies of the year.

It was a boy, not a girl.
He was the oracle. The villagers believed that he could communicate with the gods.

I lost it during the cliff scene.

Wait, what?

I watched it last night. Pretty intense although I’m not into horror/thrillers much.

All around a horrible “art” movie. A collection of weird, trippy scenes does not make a good movie IMO. I wish I had those 2+ hours back.
Edit - there’s very little “thrilling” about this movie. Maybe one scene and I’m not talking about the cliffs.

Cliff scene was a little extra bc I could see the dudes teeth
but for me... it was knowing that girl put period blood and pubic hair in Christians lunch and thats what made me cringe the most haha (his lemonade was pink and it was foreshadowed on the artwork that the english couple observed)

By far the most crazy, ridiculous, out there breakup movie I've ever seen.
I enjoyed it but hereditary was freakier to me.
