Despite media reports indicating the opposite, cases are still going down nationwide. With today's results added (a new record 583,961 tests conducted):
* The average number of daily new cases for this past week is 20,440 and 21,427 for the week before.
* The average positive test rate is 4.5% for the past week and 4.8% for the week before.
* The average number of tests per day increased from 445,350 to 455,881.
Are we still eliminating the virus from the country? YES.

The media needs to be classified as a terrorist organization the way they are being dishonest about this.

well to be fair, there are lots of states where the numbers are increasing and not in a way just related to number of tests performed.
both texas and florida are seeing higher numbers than ever and Arizona is seeing higher numbers and escalating positivity with tests performed.
most of the overall decrease is related to the northeast and Illinois finally coming down.
i think the declining mortality rate is encouraging but i suspect the fear that this will become a seasonal issue like the flu until there is a vaccine is probably true
