now, if cutcliffe is on staff at a big school, he might go there

Back to Cutcliffe's age, he's currently 65 and Arch Manning is in the middle of his freshman year of high school. He won't step on a college campus until 2023.

Cutcliffe will be 69 come September of that year.

Are the Mannings going to chance their latest prodigy with a septuagenarian?

the decline of Tennessee football occurred when he left as OC to be HC at Ole Miss.

Fulmer’s record without Cutcliffe is atrocious, and had Cutcliffe not returned to Tennessee after being fired at Ole Miss, Fulmer likely gets fired way earlier than 2008.

none of them ever attempt to coach at LSU, Alabama, Ohio St. etc. where competing for a national championship is expected.

How many chances have they had?

Ole Miss hasn’t been good since he was fired. It’s hard to be great at Duke. But he made Duke football more relevant than it was.

Cutcliffe is good at developing QBs.

Ever hear about Duke football in a positive light before he got there?

Yes, Spurrier.

Look he's a great coach, but he's known to not be a great recruiter. That's his rep, whether you want to believe it or not.

Smart kids go play for him at Duke and he coaches them up well.
