I have no clue why Clemson thought they could guard our WR's 1 v 1 without safety help. Struck me as strange.

Venables has said that 81 and 22 were problems. I think he knew that doubling was out. We had 5 elite pass catchers. BV knew that.

THAT is why we won the national title this year and had the best offense in the nation.

Brady's schemes were nice, but the plays weren't magic.

Burrow was very accurate and saw the open man. You can not cover Chase, Jefferson and Marshall 1-on-1, not consistently, and not all 3 on the same play. Moss and Clyde needed to be accounted for because they would catch too.

If the O-line gives you time to throw, you will win with that combination of players. It's almost impossible to stop that, 3 times in a row; and the WRs were downfield deep enough to make up for a sack on one of those plays.

Brennan needs to get with his guys as soon as possible, and work on the connections. There's little reason to suspect the same attack won't work again, he still has 2 known elite guys (Chase and Marshall), and we know more will step up.
