Ok parents. Its time to be the actual adult in the room.
Talk to your kids about bad words and why we dont use them, or why its not acceptable in your family. You arent going to sheild them forever.
And if they are old enough to even know what fricking is, they have probably seen something worse on the internet.
In instances like this, the word is used for emphasis. Its still trashy, but not a big deal.

So if I'm a Lawyer and my wife is a NP and if we show up to a game with our JFB shirts and BDJ hats, chanting STTDB from our 4 TAF funded top 300 season ticket seats… we are trashy? GTFOH !!!
Posted on 1/21/20 at 7:42 am to Boat Motor Bandit
Yes. If you are a lawyer you are definitely trash. The cussing is icing on the cake.

Haha “think of the children!”

Be glad you didn't sit in the 304 Section at all this season. It is full of the same season ticket holders since I was a kid. Guess what we all hollered all season, From 8 to 80 years old. Get off your high horse. all we can see is your asshol* from down here.

I use to think you should respect as I was taught people older than you, but the older I get the less I believe this. At least when someone is younger you can chalk it up as youth or lack you wisdom.

RYNO,
You know, you had a decent point right up
until you really dropped the ball and illustrated exactly why several folks on this board cringe whenever you post. That would be based upon the glaring fact that you are a self important, judgmental, supercilious jerk who always as a “simple, black and white” answer to every situation and because it spills from your mouth it’s obviously brilliant!
Not only are you a narrow minded troglodyte, but your opinions are routinely ill conceived and poorly reasoned.
Furthermore, you’re obviously one of those folks that hates and is afraid of anything that you don’t understand and that challenges your straw-like view of the entire world! That’s exactly why you are eager to quickly through every member of a profession or anyone that disagrees with you into the class of “trash”!
Finally, you sound like someone that has a fundamental problem with the legal system in my country. (Yet again, showing your total lack of vision...) maybe you had a bad experience with some attorney or judge that treated you unfairly or that was a total jerk. Maybe you have correctly recognized that our justice system has some problems, inequities, and is entirely too slow to dispense justice. Heck, maybe your just mad because you couldn’t get into law school. The truth is I don’t know and a truly do not care at this point. The simple truth is that for every attorney that you point to as a huckster, ambulance-chaser, bloodsucker, or whatever, there are ten hard working, honorable and under appreciated attorneys out there they will likely be the man or woman that you turn to at some point in the future when either you, a family member, friend or loved one has made a stupid mistake, been taken advantage of in fraudulent business deal, need estate planning, gets into trouble with taxes, wants to start a new business and any number of other situations to give you the the guidance, advice and representation that you will need. And at that point, I’ll venture that you position will change to “yeah, I still hate lawyers, except for mine...”. The height of hypocrisy, your playground....
All that said, take your dispersions and eagerness to lump everyone in my profession into a poor light and shove them straight up your arrogant behind.
GEAUX TIGERS!!!

This is probably the same dude who brings his kids to LSU games but gets mad when the band plays neck. Sorry boomer

We hv choices, I tailgate at LSU games, but I personally refused to bring my younger kids, now nor would I bring my grandchildren to hear the STTD chant. It is pure trash embarrassing!! IMO! I love LSU Football, But no way that should be apart of the game. Once again in my opinion. To each their own.

Not a single one of them were injured by this. You neither. Grow up man.
Harm ? probably not, but children will do as they see adults do, not as the hear adults "to do".
Parents need to parent.
After 21, the new adults can act as trashy as they want, but that does not diminish "trashy"

Or you could just stop being a pussy.

Exactly. So if you as a parent don't curse and tell your kids not to curse then there should be no problem. Sounds like a perfect parenting opportunity.

And you nailed it.

I agree 100%!
That’s why I will not bring my grand kids to hear that embracing trash.
Posted on 1/21/20 at 10:39 am to Swampcat
I respect that point 100%. If that's the way you choose to help raise your grandkids, then that's awesome. Everyone has different parenting tactics.

I saw quite a few guys trying to sell vulgar T-shirts on the ramps of the PMAC as everyone was filing out. Some were worse than others (i.e. Joe frickin Burrow isn't as bad as the others). They were screaming the various vulgarities as loud as possible, which I thought was worse than the actual shirts. Some of the smaller kids didn't know what was going on.
The Jesus guy with the sign was even worse. A couple of fans were asking if he could say 'Geaux Tigers' through his microphone but he ignored the requests. Then there were a few mocking 'Burrow is God' and similar comments.

I could name a thousand better things to bitch about. Unreal out of all things this is what some of y’all come on here to complain about lol.
Posted on 1/21/20 at 10:48 am to litenin
Yeah, see, I disagree with people doing any of that. I'm not even religious and I would never disrespect someone's religion like that to their face in public. I think my only point in all of this is that children see and hear shite that their parents wish that they wouldn't and it's then the parents' responsibility to teach their kids what they believe is the difference between right and wrong.

How dare someone act free in a free country. People these days.
Posted on 1/21/20 at 10:54 am to TigerLunatik
Thank you TigerLunatik I appreciate your comment. Unfortunately I do not get to experience the thrill of watching the game with family becuz some just don’t care, when they could simply choose differently. I realize nothing is going to be done about it, but I hv been going to see LSU play for many decades but since accept it is what it’s going to be. Thks
