case and point. USWF took in 3 limits of ducks for survey during split in Hackberry. Guess what they were loaded with? Small snails, leaches, shrimp, clam, grubs, multiple crustaceans, you name it. Guess what else. a few of the ducks had gorged on small apple snails!!! So tell me how great it would be for ducks to help with that invasive snail population.

yeah and hackberry is largely unnaffected yet - by apple snails or salvinia.... give it time.

areas in SE and south central la that have been hammered by both - are largely devoid of ducks.

Saw a pile of shells last week on the bank.

Looks like the coons have learned how to eat them.
