This.

The moment wasn’t about him and he did it to capture attention. I don’t morally object to him giving his money to whoever he wants.....but how he did it so bluntly in front of the cameras tells you all you need to know. It’s more important to him people talk about it than any potential damage he can cause LSU. He didn’t even play for O but he has welcomed him with open arms...and this is how he pays him? frick him.

And Jefferson has a relationship established with OBJ from when Jordan was overthrowing him 8 years ago.

Despite all of the talk about how the game was over and Burrow already graduated, it’s still a potential issue. The NCAA considers these players student athletes until they declare for the draft.

That said, the whole situation is a little absurd and the investigation was announced less than 48 hours after it happened. Should be early enough that compliance can nip it in the bud. I’d be more worried if it came out 6 months later.

So minimal concern from me, but not zero.

You realize this was a stunt that the majority of the players likely knew was going to happen beforehand

. Who gives a frick if he didn't play for O. That's such a stupid way of going about "who should or shouldn't be allowed to come around the program".

If the investigation limits OBJ’s contact w/ program for a year, will be the best thing that happens to LSU. Everything OBJ does publicly is about no one else but OBJ

No. OBJ in the middle of the field with all the cameras wasn’t exactly some highly classified covert scheme going on.

He chose to be a fool for attention and we will deal with it.

No. We’ll send Joe to Indianapolis with a new cigar, he lights it, sits in Mark E’s office chair and says,
“We’re done here with this right Mark? Now take me to St Elmo’s to get shrimp cocktail a steak and Blantons!”

Our basketball coach was on a wiretap talking about an offer made for a kid and the NCAA is too fricking toothless to do anything about it at this point. The NCAA’s time is ending, they aren’t going to do shite.

OBJ is recruitment gold. The kids love him. And only criticizing him for passing out cash, while neglecting to call out current players who are perfectly aware of the rules, is disingenuous at best.

Sad we have to keep an arms distance away from some of our own. Come on OBJ - get your stuff together.

It's a shame we have a fanbase that likes to cannibalize it's own over a stunt/joke. Move on.

So you have access to these wiretaps? Because the NCAA doesn’t.

LSUs compliance office probably put everyone on lockdown the next day, strict as they are.
I remember when they confiscated the "Wild Thing" glasses given to our pitcher by Sheen.
