Gov. Kay Ivey has yet to decide whether Alabama will accept the resettlement of new refugees, as a key deadline approaches next week

Alabama is one of a handful of states that hasn't announced a decision after President Donald Trump said agencies must get written permission from state and local officials when they want to resettle refugees beyond June 2020.

The Trump administration gave governors a Jan. 21 deadline to decide. Ivey spokeswoman Gina Maiolasaid Monday the governor's office is still undecided. She says it's considering Trump's decision and consulting with the State Department and other entities

This is a no-brainer. What could she possibly be thinking? Hope this isn't Ivey cucking out.

Won't be good for her if she wants another term.

Can't wait for another small town like Guntersville to have a designated shite'n'trash apartment complex filled with Somalis.

Yeah, we need to flood more American small towns with thousands of uneducated, unskilled foreigners that do nothing but exist on the government dole and breed like rabbits.

Why don't y'all get it? All these people have no backbone and do what the RNC tells them to do.

That's the reason why every Republican governor is letting them in. Only state that isn't doing it is Texas and that's because they allowing 2100 Ilhan Omars a year isn't sustainable.

From State Auditor, Jim Zeigler's FB page. Wonder if he's positioning himself for a gubernatorial run?

quote:

Ivey remains noncommittal on refugee settlements in Alabama
Zeigler: "Alabama should see after our own veterans, elderly and disabled. It is disappointing that Gov. Ivey is having trouble with this decision. It is an easy decision -- NO MORE REFUGEES." __Jim Zeigler, State Auditor
YOUR HELP NEEDED NOW to stop further refugee settlement in Alabama
Please ask Gov. Kay Ivey to reject refugees under a new directive that allows this. Only Texas has done so. Use this form or call 334-242-7100.
