Heard an add for Bloomberg and they used the term independent, at least I could swear that's what I heard. Could this happen? Who would it impact more?

The dems would lose their shite if he did that

if it was the same ad I saw it was talking about being independent from special interest money. Unless something has changed that I haven't heard, he's still running for the Democrat ticket.

If he ran as an Indy he would get Arkancided

Bloomberg said he’d spend $1B of his own to stop a Trump re-election.
He seems to think spending = votes.
In reality, spending has hugely diminishing returns when it comes to votes.

You might can buy votes not with tv ads though

Im convinced they threatened to kill Howard Shultz or stage a massive Starbucks boycott or something when he wanted to run independent. I had followed his FB page and the vitriol on his potential independent run was off the charts.

Schultz was supposed to run as an independent

Which is proof that he's a Democrat.
Remember how Democrats seem to think that Republicans basically try to buy elections thanks to Citizens United yet supported the candidate that drastically outspend its opponent?
quote:
Clinton's unsuccessful campaign ($768 million in spending) outspent Trump's successful one ($398 million) by nearly 2 to 1. The Democratic National Committee and left-leaning outside groups also outspent their Republican counterparts by considerable margins.

It would impact President Trump. The leftists who vote for the party of sodomy, sharia, and socialism aren’t going to be swayed to vote for a Jewish Billionaire in any significant numbers. He might peel off a few Warren buffet types, but his real appeal is to Bush republicans.

He’s trying to brand himself as an Independent who happens to have a D next to his name. Smart move if you ask me.
