There’s no mention of specific threats or harassment in that brief article so my initial thought is that’s a poor look for him with his teammates.

I don't think the USMNT received specific threats, but they cancelled their training in Qatar. It's probably a good idea for all Americans to avoid the region until things die down.

They bribed their way to hosting, let’s see if they can bribe the fans to come and the teams to stay.
