We’ll have to wait for the final version passed by the Senate. There will be many amendments. It’s probably going to be a scaled down version of the current AUMF.

Such as? All I've seen is the exact same thing the WPA has always provided, in general: (1) President can act unilaterally to prevent or respond to imminent threats against American lives or interests; (2) if not imminent or any continuing response to a previous imminent threat, go to Congress.
Don't see how anything has or will change with that. And anyone who thinks those essential provisions should be changed are in the argument for other purposes. Probably personal political purposes.
