Seeing how he’s an UFA this offseason. With how well he’s played, we’re likely to have some competition retaining him. Looking at safety salaries, I’d be comfortable paying him in the 6-7 mill a year range. Any higher than that is starting to get into elite safety territory. What do y’all think?

You're looking at him getting 9-10mil.

3 years ago, Tony Jefferson signed a 4/34. Assume that he's going to be more than that with how he's played

Not sure if there is a better playmaking SS in the league.

keep bell no matter the cost

get rid of eli apple, marcus williams, and pj williams

im sick of having below average secondary while DA play calls like they are all all stars back there, thats why teams pass all over us at will

Bell played good, and exceeded my expectations (I expected Roman Harper with more speed) but has really played that well? He's forced some fumbles, but he's not surest tackler for SS, and he's made some plays in coverage but not too much from my memory. To be clear, I want him back as well and I want to keep him over M. Williams, I just don't think I see him in the top 5 SS category like a lot of you guys think

How much did Vacarro get from Titans. Play same style, difference is Bell is actually good.

im more than ok with sliding CJGJ to SS and keeping PJ as 3rd safety/slot in order to maintain flexibilty

Gardner-Johnson does look like he'd be more than capable of manning the SS position but I think he's got the potential to be even more valuable at slot CB. I like the flexibility and would definitely cross train but I think slot should be his primary

PJ is not very good on the outside, ok in slot, and did serve well in a small sample at FS. I wonder if he could make a full transition to FS, maybe even trade M.Williams this year before we have to pay him next year, especially if we bring back both Jenkins and Apple
