Conspiracy has become a four letter word (which I disagree with, I think it’s healthy) so they're trying to not sound like that.

My issue has less to do with whether or why/how (accident, etc.) it was shot down. My issue is that the entire possibility is being avoided like somebody farted in a stuck elevator.

I think Hillary helped make it become a tin-foil hat definition when politicians got dirt on her - everything became a "right-wing conspiracy" - all conspiracies - which became "things not to be believed or wacko or made up or so far-fetched you'd have to be crazy to believe that."

Guess what? Conspiracies are real.

They've happened all the time throughout history.

The plot to kill Ceasar, a Conspiracy!

The plot to kill Hitler, a Conspiracy!

The murder of Lincoln, a Conspiracy! Conspiracy: A secret plan by two or more people to do something harmful or illegal.

Nowadays, if someone questions the news or shootings or the real aim or intentions of the US government, you get called a conspiracy theorist which is now synonymous with Flat Earther (which was created to discredit, real actual conspiracy theories.)
