The wife and I will be in Dallas Monday night. We've been to Dodie's Reef many times, but never to II Brothers. Has anybody been to the game parties at II Brothers? If so, do you need to reserve a table, or is there sufficient space at the bar to watch?

TIA

Is Dodie's Reef the one on Greenville? I watched the LSU/Bama game there on the rooftop.

Was really hoping for LSU/OSU as the 2 alumni bars are next door to each other (Dodie's is next door to Slaters 50/50 the OSU bar)

Yes, it's on Greenville. We've always liked that place, but we're staying in far north Dallas that night and II Brothers is closer to our hotel.

I’ll be on my sofa. May walk down to Dibs after the game, but doubtful.

All assuming I don’t buy a ticket over the weekend.

Went once earlier this year for the Texas game- it was nice but sort of a shite show. As I recall the tables are first come and there is no list or process - it also happened to be a Florida St bar, so they had all the tables for their game. We befriended a Nole and just sat at his table, assuming/hoping he would leave. He kept saying he was leaving to meet his wife, but eventually his wife and (I think) her parents showed up at II Brothers

All that to say, I would just recommend whatever is closest to you. I think Dodie's may be a little more fun environment.

Where are you staying ? area of Dallas.
These are the 2 official look-in places.

Dibs is all the way Downtown ... parking is hard sometimes
Address: 2401 Victory Park Ln Suite 190, Dallas, TX 75219

II Brothers is on the Plano/Frisco line
Address: 8308 Preston Rd #198, Plano, TX 75024
I have enjoyed this place.

Any establishment w a TV will have the game on.
I will likely go to Twin Peaks (Addison) so I do not have so far to drive after the game. One of the most fun places is Nate's, but smaller and packs early (Cajun Rest.)

Huh? II brothers is an official LSU alumni bar. That would be a big fail if it wasn't exclusively theirs.

Theres a new LSU watch party location in Dallas. Its at Dibs on Victory in the Uptown area. Im not sure if they still get a crowd at Dodies but Id check out Dibs if I were you.

I'll be at the game but my whole friend group is going to Dibs. Dodie's plays the game so loud you cant think.. and II brothers is too far from where we live. and most of them live in uptown so it makes the most sense

oh yeah they get a massive crowd. for the Bama game I saw tons of people I know who dont like LSU at all. just wanted to be there for the game. Didnt really happen for SEC Championship, and I'm not sure for the peach bowl because I was at the game.. but I'd expect something like than again...

Downstairs is more of a restaurant with a bar. Upstairs they have a bar and they move out all of the chairs. So standing room only. Except there is a few couches you can sit on if you get there early with a group

Went to watch the Auburn game at II Brothers and it was a good atmosphere. Went back to watch the Bama game and it was packed and there were no tables. Place really isn't big enough. Get there early.

We're staying in Addison. IIBrothers is the closest location, but we've never been there and I'm not liking what I'm hearing. We've never been to Dibs - it seems too far to suit us.

The real question is, how easy is it to get seated at the "official" look-in places? Do we need reservations?

Dibs on Victory -- TVs everywhere, and food is decent. Also the official watch spot in the Dallas area. Il brothers is the official watch spot in the Dallas burbs.

Do not go to Dodie's. I can't say this enough, do not go to Dodie's.

they dont take reservations. I think you'd be fine an hour and a half before. Hell I usually do 2 hours and my friends get mad because we are way to easy. I work in addison. you'd probably have to drive down during rush hour. On the tollway you can probably make it there in 30 min(Not that bad for after work traffic)... The drive back would take 20 min max. I personally like Dibs. Neither the mavs or stars play monday night so it wont be that hard to park.

Couldn't agree more. Went once. Whole table wanted to leave. Waitress came around so little we thought we had the plague. and she was just dumb as hell. TV's cranked to decibel levels ears aren't supposed to listen to for 3 hours. All in all terrible experience. We all agreed to never go back.

Dibs may be what we want. No problem driving either way - we always take Uber when we go out in Dallas. Thanks.

It appears they have failed- LSU, FSU, A&M, USC, and UK.

I will be in town for work Monday and plan to go to 11 Brothers, as it is 5 miles from my hotel. I plan to get there by 5:30.
