Sloan Park is very nice. Mesa isn’t too far from Phoenix and makes it very convenient.

I went a few years back. Saw something like 7 games in 6 days or so. The parks I visited were:

Hohokam in Mesa (former Cubs home)
Maryvale in Phoenix (Brewers)
Surprise Stadium (Rangers)
Tempe Diablo (Angels)
Goodyear Ballpark (Indians)
Salt River (Rockies)
Peoria Sports Complex (Padres)

It’s a great experience. Take a week off, see baseball, drink beer, play golf. If you frequent minor league ballparks, any one of the ST parks will be fine for you. They all seem to get nicer by the year.

This is what my parents do every year now that their retired (minus the golf). It’s a great value on your dollar.

We attended a couple of Rangers' games in Surprise, AZ last year. Great facilities and much to do in the area.

Went last spring, it was awesome. Just went out to Peoria Sports Complex to see the Mariners a couple of times, but did lots of hiking and stayed in Scottsdale. The Giants stadium is right in the middle of Scottsdale but I believe all stadiums in the Cactus league are ab 30-45 minutes from each other, where in the Grapefruit league some stadiums are a few hours away.

I would recommend staying in Scottsdale and checking out the bar scene around Whiskey Row. It is like a mini Vegas. They also have great restaurants around that area and is incredibly clean/nice. That time of the year is absolutely perfect weather out there.

There is also great hiking all around there. We did the Flat Irons which is one of the harder hikes and a little further out of town, but they have plenty of easier trials right in Scottsdale ( Camelbacks)

I went a few years back for the Rangers. Had a blast. Very affordable and the players interact with kids and what not.

It’s super relaxed and chill.

I used to ditch school about once a week and just go to baseball games all day long. Good times.

do it.

I used to live in AZ and we'd go every year. The games are awesome but if you're around long enough practice days are open to the public. You're free to walk around to each field and interact with players during and in between sessions.

Years ago I'd go during the week and got multiple pictures and autographs from guys like Barry Zito, Eric Chavez, Milton Bradley, Nick Swisher, Mike Scioscia, John Lackey

Also, foul balls and home run balls are free game during BP
