What if McCarthy has had a Coach O epiphany of growth since he's been out of the game? Imagine a 14-2/13-3 turn around + 2+ playoff wins in Year 1...
Also, there will be 3 new HC's in the NFC East next year. Has that ever happened before in this division or any division for that matter?

I've watched a lot of McCarthy-coached GB games over the years. I've never seen a coach consistently make horrible decisions quite like McCarthy.

Haha thank you Jerry. Not a home run hire. Mike already had a sleepover at Jerry’s house just so he who knows who daddy is...(not making the sleepover part up either, reported by ESPN).

I think it’s a good choice

ZERO super bowl winning head coaches have EVER gone on to win a Super Bowl with another team.
This is a bad hire and history shows that.

No. They are just glad Garrett is gone.
I’ve never seen a bunch of people happier to see a dude out of a job.

Lombardi would have done it, but the big C got him.
Vermeil almost did it; Weeb Eubank would have done it, were there a Superbowl when he coached the Colts.

This is a stupid stat because most super bowl winning coaches have really long tenures for the organization they won a Super Bowl with long past their prime.

It is, but what does that say about McCarthy being past his prime too?

Did Cowboys abide by Rooney Rule
Can’t stand the Cowbitches but........who gives a frick? The “Rooney Rule” is a sham for starters, and it shouldn’t exist anyway. Owners should be able to interview and hire whomever they believe to be the best candidate (regardless of race). The majority of the players are black (and subsequently very wealthy).......there was a time where minorities were unfortunately discriminated against in the league, but that is thankfully no longer the case.
No country has done more to improve race relations than this one.......NONE. It’s time for this narrative to die

Honestly, I’d be pretty annoyed/offended if an organization interviewed me just because I was black... why waste peoples’ time like that?

I think it's a good hire. McCarthy gets blamed for offensive issues in Green Bay but Aaron Rodgers is a douche and may have been undermining McCarthy. Dak is more coachable. We'll see. Go Cowboys!

Who would you have chosen?????
Posted on 1/6/20 at 11:47 am to dukke v
If my choices were McCarthy or Marvin then I’m choosing to retain Garrett or Hiring Marvin so I at least have a chance to win a super bowl, per history.
Posted on 1/6/20 at 11:56 am to McCaigBro69
Lol what??¿? What history???? I agree Marvin would have been a good hire. He did alot with nothing in Cincy.

I already said above that no head coach that’s won a Super Bowl elsewhere has won one with another team.
History says we have a 0% chance to win a Super Bowl with McCarthy.
