See here's the difference and answer to your question. No one on top tier of the SEC gives two fricks about playing in some shitty bowl against a rowing team. In the SEC if you're not playing for the ship or playing a huge match up no one cares. Because it's a let down, it's a failure of a season. It's not our Superbowl like it is everyone else. We don't have the "SEC" to play to prove something.

So your argument and using scores of games to make a point shows you have no clue what it means to be in the SEC.

PS. 10 SEC teams could beat NC which you barely did by the skin of your teeth........see how dumb that sounds to try to make a point on one games score?????

So LSU in one year, this year, matched Clemson in the number of top 10 teams played in the last 10 years...

Sad but true for the dynasty that’s has to get itself ready to play about twice a year.

Their weak schedule doesn’t prepare them for games against tough teams. That’s why they have a dismal .750 record in CFP games.

The team who is 6-2 in playoff games vs playoff teams definitely couldn’t handle an SEC schedule.

Add in they’ve only played 4 teams in the 29 game streak that won 10 games.

ND (18)
Syracuse (18)
Bama (18)
Ohio st (19)

Clemson has been battle tested twice, and to their credit fought back and beat a great team and a scrub NC team.

Meanwhile, LSU beat Texas and ran thru the SEC with relative ease.

Clemson is gonna get rolled...

SEC only slightly better than the ACC? That’s just dumb

Please show me where I said “slightly”? People act like we play a MAAC schedule yet the ACC plays the SEC pretty tough.

Last 10 years SEC vs. ACC:

54-43 55% win percentage
Average score: 29.2 to 25.7

5% above .500 and just over a field goal is not leaps and bounds. At least not to me.

So is the SEC not that good? Or is the ACC not that bad?

The majority of those games have lower ranked SEC teams playing higher ranked acc teams.

Examples from this year:

#4 ACC VT vs #8 SEC Kentucky
#2 ACC UVA vs #4 SEC UF
#3 ACC Lville vs #9 SEC Miss St

Line them up #1 SEC vs #1 ACC, #2 SEC vs #2 ACC etc. and it’s not close in any year probably since the early 2000’s

Lol! That was UVA's super bowl, their all-time most important game in the program's history. At least that's what it looked like to me watching the game. Meanwhile Florida looked ready to go home before kickoff.

In 10 years, LSU has played 29 top 10 teams. Clemson in the same time, 6.

So you wanna talk about the last ten years .Clemson has:
2 national championships.
Been in five straight playoffs
Won a bunch of conference titles .
Wins over Georgia, Lsu, Auburn (twice), Bama (twice), Texas A&M (twice), South Carolina (countless times only mention them cause they are a member of the mighty sec ), Oklahoma (twice), Ohio State (twice), Notre Dame (twice).

Beat Bama more times then you have. Even though we have only played them 4 times
By all accounts it is one of the if not the best college football programs in the country . You have to understand we hear this every year then just go take care of business . So you might want to just stick with the we are better then you this year argument .

The ACC sucks, aside from Clemson.

The SEC has rotating powerhouses who are fortunate to get thru a brutal conference schedle.

Clemson is just the new FSU in your conference. Just like FSU did for years, you skate thru a weak conference to qualify yourselves.

It's kinda pathetic...

I think the real argument here from SEC fans is: Yes Clemson could absolutely compete and do quite well year in and year out in the SEC. However, after playing an SEC conference schedule vs playing an ACC conference schedule, Clemson would be way more depleted, injury wise, and would require significantly more depth than they've needed cruising through the ACC each season.

I was going make a comment like this but was too lazy to look it up. I would bet many of those games were bowl games, and the EEC is almost always the lower(worse) ranked team in the matchup. But I guess that doesnt fit the lil tigers narrative so he purposely neglected to post that info.

It’s great but not historic yet.
OU 47
Miami 34
Texas 30
Miami 29
FSU 29

No one will ever catch the Wilkinson OU streak.. if Clemson beats us, they will pass Miami next year.

Is the SEC better than the ACC? Absolutely. Is it leaps and bounds better? Absolutely not.

Since you don’t play everyone in conference it’s honestly impossible to accurately rank them.

Just a comparison:

SEC vs MAC last 10 years

37-1 97% win percentage
39-15 average score

This is leaps and bounds and doesn’t make a difference where they rank in conference. The SEC doesn’t have this domination vs ACC all I’m saying.

I repeat THE SEC IS BETTER THAN THE ACC. I just don’t think it’s by the amount a lot of ppl in SEC want to believe.
