Some staffer must have mentioned to Quid Pro Joe that he'd be breaking the law if he defied a Senate subpoena

quote:

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden attempted to clarify his recent announcement that he'd refuse to comply with a subpoena should the Senate issue one forcing his testimony in the impeachment hearing.

The former vice president made the initial remarks in a recent interview with the editorial board of the Des Moines Register. His statements comes as some Senate Republicans are calling for Biden and his son Hunter to testify in the impeachment trial.

"I want to clarify something I said yesterday. In my 40 years in public life, I have always complied with a lawful order and in my eight years as VP, my office — unlike Donald Trump and Mike Pence — cooperated with legitimate congressional oversight requests," Biden tweeted Saturday morning. "But I am just not going to pretend that there is any legal basis for Republican subpoenas for my testimony in the impeachment trial. That is the point I was making yesterday and I reiterate: this impeachment is about Trump’s conduct, not mine."

It doesn’t matter, dipshit. A subpoena in a senate trial is what it is. I figured he’d learn that in his “40 years of public life”.

When accusing the other side of what you are guilty of goes wrong.

The 5th, I predict, will be plead a-plenty when he testifies before Senate.

I think the thing you have to remember is I find it doubtful that they get 51 votes to subpoena him. Most of those 40 years in public life were spent in the Senate. He was very well respected by both sides. My guess is there will be some long term GOP Senators who won’t vote to bring him in. Just my guess.

Gee, he must have forgotten all those Fast and Furious subpoenas that were ignored.

Nothing to do with his backtracking, but if both Joe and Hunter are called to testify there must be some way to ensure that one can’t hear what the other says

Wouldn’t put it past the filth to do this but it is a sign of guilt. Then when he is under investigation, he won’t have that luxury. That day is fast approaching.
