Is it? In the past six years, Mississippi has opened numerous major manufacturers, and education has gone from last to above average. Mississippi has a fully funded rainy day fund and record tax revenue. They just started a lottery that is going to take several million from Louisiana directly.

Mississippi has shed the crutches. And for the first time, all State offices will be GOP controlled with a GOP supermajority in both the house and senate. We are about to take off.

By any objective measure of quality of life, Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana are fighting for the bottom of the barrel.

Looking just at economy from last year:

quote:

46. Mississippi

Mississippi had the lowest Q3 2017 GDP per capita of $37,849 in the country, and the lowest December 2017 average weekly wage of $707.48.

But yes, this was still above Louisiana.

You didn’t originally say FLORIDA.

But you are right. South of Melbourne is full of loud mouth Yankees.

Florida's cool. I've got family down there. But we're midwesterners, so they are on the west side of the state.

This simply isn't true.

My same home in California would cost over 3.5 Million.

In Alabama it is 525k

In my Neighborhood crime is so low that we don't even have to lock our doors.

For my same position at the global company I work for if I was In Washington or California my pay would only be 10% higher.

IOW my family has at the least a 50% higher standard of living.

It's funny that you still refer to people from the north as yankees

I would likely buy on the west coast of florida as well, simply to avoid all the northeasterners.

I wasn't talking about you personally. Collective state rankings:

Why do you think your house is so affordable in Mississippi?

Quality of life: 48th

Healthcare: 50th

Education: 46th

Economy: 48th

Why? They even have a baseball team called the Yankees. Heard of them?

If you think Tampa, Sarasota, Ft Meyers, Naples etc aren’t covered up with Yankees then I’m not sure what to tell you.

Well Louisiana doesn't have enough talent to fill IBM so Google here would be even more of a cluster.

These Quality of life measurements are created by libtards and are based on how far you have to walk to get your next Starbucks, and other bullshite like that.

I'm sure that San Francisco and Los A have higher quality of life ratings than anywhere in MS, LA, or Alabama but the last 3 don't have to deal with medical waste littering their streets and sending out poop patrols to clean up human feces

So you're an expert in Florida population characteristics and this is what you throw out there? Apologies if I don't take your opinions as fact

If you don't agree with something, just say it was created by libtards

Feel free to link to a quality of life study that has Mississippi where you think it should be. I'd love to check it out.
