Until the day he dies, Jimmy Carter will always support a Presidential candidate who will support the right of a woman to kill her unborn child up until the point that the head pops out of the womb
Carter himself is pro-life I believe but I agree his support of politicians that are pro-choice has always been troubling. I will say he has pleaded with the DNC to abandon abortion more than once.
Good man, bad president.
To the topic at hand:
quote:
But the facts in this instance are unambiguous: The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents. That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral.
That is an eye of the beholder opinion at best and a purposeful dishonest misrepresentation at worst. That’s what he bases his call for Trump to step down on.
That I’ve seen, Trump has not lied about this situation. Exaggerated a “perfect call?” Sure but I haven’t heard anybody disprove or disagree with the contents of the transcript and the transcript didn’t have any coercion.
I’m all about ripping Trump where it’s merited but this is a dishonest take.
