Ok, first of all. I liked the "behind the green door" musical piece, not bad.

The Bruce lee scene was fun.

Kurt Russell's character should've been named Mike.

I get the whole Austin Powers look now.

Leonardo DiCaprio was really good in his western acting scenes.

The Spahn ranch scene was tense for a little while but odd. I was kinda hoping Cliff would be somewhat seduced and sucked in a little by that whole lifestyle. That scene went nowhere though and really didn't set anything up, other than Cliff recognizing them all in the final minutes.

And speaking of Cliff. We're left asking ourselves what difference does it make if he killed his wife or not? Why is that a part of this story? There was zero purpose to that and it added nothing at all to his character.

Dirty feet on hot chicks does it for me and that was an ongoing theme.

Ok so here it is.

That movie's perfectly fine as a rental where you can just sorta sit on your sofa and let it unfold but if I had to sit in an uncomfortable theater seat and watch this shite for almost 3 hours, I'd be really pissed. There was nothing at all compelling about this movie and nothing about it is worth seeing in a theater.

What a horrible movie to see in a theater. Long, disjointed, no sustained suspense or ongoing humorous themes. Very little action and really not much at all in the way of character development.

I didn't give a shite about Rick or Cliff, they were generally dull but Tarantino did do a good job of making me like the Tate character. Sharon Tate watching her own movie was an enjoyable scene but that probably had something to do with her dirty feet.

There weren't any real peaks or valleys in this. It just sorta praddled and hummed along with no real point other than to show that Rick Dalton was a has been.

The Dalton character is really what the movie is centered around and how can the storyline of a washed up actor sustain a movie like this?

In the last act though, the tension did start to build as the time line was narrated by stuntman mike.

You could feel it all coming to a head. But should you have to sit through about 2 hours and 10 minutes of what amounts to chatter for a payoff like that?

No.

This movie was a fricking bore but an ok bore as long as you're on your own sofa.

I saw it twice in the theater. You want to know the last film I went to see twice in a cinema?

Rhymes with Bar Wars.

So, respectfully, opinions obviously vary.

because cliff may or may not be a murderer. he may or may not be someone who has killed a person. he may or may not be willing/able to do it again, maybe to some randos.
