All,
I'm seeking a mechanic to travel to my boat, which is in a lift at Rigolets Marina (on Chef, on St. Tammany side of Rigolets Bridge). I need service/maintenance/diagnostics/repair on my Power Pole & Minn Kota trolling motor.
Thanks in advance.

I think Ben at trolling motors unlimited in Chalmette might travel for trolling motor repair, not sure if he does power pole stuff.

are they really that hard to remove and bring to a shop?
the price you are going to pay for a "come to you" service plus return trip after parts arrive are going to be huge
you will most likely get better service bringing each to a specified repair center rather then a "do it all" general repair guy

Lee's Trolling motor shop in Waveland may be able to assist. They are in the Boat Shed off 90.

Trolling motors unlimited is probably your best bet for both

I may not be popular here for saying this but I would never, ever, recommend Ben at trolling motors unlimited to anyone. I had one bad experience with him and gave him the benefit of doubt and used him again, never again. Guy has no personal skills, treated me like I was bothering him and worst of all, didn’t fix my trolling motor....twice! The guy at Dixie trolling motors in Mandeville fixed bens screw up while I waited in his shop. Very nice and knowledgeable guy.
