I came across an article today about this art exhibit:

It’s stupid, but something about it pleases me.

It inspired me to do something “artistic,” so here’s what I accomplished a moment ago.

I present: Hot Wheels and Things, photos by Jon Ham.

Merry Christmas!

Brilliance in motion. The golf tee and the lambo photo is maddeningly expanse, gratuitously echoing the great jeremiads of Puritan America. Its ending is evasive but tickles the chords of memory and fear. It evokes the existential question: what drives you? I haven't been so challenged since my first reading of Tillich's Courage To Be. The critique of American recreationalism and luxuryism is piercing and damning.

Ham certainly has undertones of David Halliday. Ham, are you Mr. Halliday in disguise? I enjoyed his gallery in the Quarter last year.

Tulane, you mentioned me in one of your threads,

Surely it was jest, correct?

If not, what of mine have you read that you thought worthy of a mention?

You’re an artist Jonathan. If Andy Warhol can use a banana to be an artist so can you.

Thank you, TulaneLSU. I was hoping you’d see my post and get some enjoyment from it. Thank you for your raw reaction and sharp commentary.

I’m out of Hot Wheels, but here’s one more that’s similar before I head to bed.

I didn't get it at first, but it's all so clear to me now. Like the duct taped banana, Hot Wheels and Things represents the erotic perversion in the mind all of us. The sensual strawberry, the didlo battery, the wooden penis with the huge knob and the electric light gay orgy. Good show! Merry Christmas indeed!
