A mouse or two...is there more

So my back yard backs up to a big pond, wooded, field type area... every blue moon (one a year) we have a mouse show up on patio...last week this one was bold coming out in open...he somehow got inside and I trapped him in bathroom...dude dissappeard...I set up traps and he died overnight...left two out because I was lazy...just killed another in same bathroom...is there more?

Mice regularly travel in pairs. That being said I killed 3 over a 3 month period that I'm pretty sure all came in together. I'd leave out traps for 2 weeks and then call it good. Can also leave concealed poison or live traps outside to catch them before they make it inside.

“Just one bite” rat poison is your answer. You need to keep some in the attic also as prevention. Make sure the dogs don’t get to it.

The old rule i always heard is you can have a rat but you always have mice.
Had one get in the house last month. Killed two. Haven’t had any signs since.
