It’s almost like we have different legal systems and standards. What a shock. A tiny bit of perspective or common sense will tell you that any comparison between countries as far apart on criminal justice, law, and society as the United States and North Korea or China is utterly worthless.

The worst treated prisoner in the United States has more food, access to luxury, and human rights than the average North Korean citizen. Quit using meaningless statistics to create false equivalence.

Compare it to western countries if you’d like, no matter how you cut it the US has the highest incarceration rate of any country in the world. Do you consider yourself to be in favor of "small government" by chance? Being number one globally at locking your citizens up is about as big government as you could possibly get.
