Once I started making enough for a 5k+ watch, I no longer cared and felt it was a poor use of money and invested instead.

I feel this.

The more money I make, the less I'm willing to spend it in the shite I told myself I'd buy once I made more money.

I feel this about all kinds of things. Cars, clothes, watches, furniture. I have nice things and I'm not cheap, but I don't buy any of the stuff I dreamed about when I was younger.
