On or off the record? Lol yes there are rules that prohibit it. You are not allowed to use any persons not on the team or staff of LSU to persuade a recruit in any way. For instance, all the big name people on campus this weekend weren't allowed to take pictures with the recruits because it would be viewed as an NCAA violation. Now, that being said, if the two were to "randomly" meet off campus, at say Texas de Brazil ;), the two could interact, but on campus and campus events is prohibited.

So how about examples like Randy Moss talking to WR recruits? Or Karl Malone talking to BB/FB recruits when he was here?

Rules have to get real squirrelly when it’s another player’s parent, I would guess.
