So you’re saying he comes in his first year starting and will be 2nd all time at LSU in single season yards and single season TDs thrown? Yeah, I’ll take that.

Probably. We run a different system now.

If our Jr. O linemen don’t declare early, I think he’ll be fine. He hasn’t had the chance to throw to Chase, Jeff, or Marshall in games

I doubt it. I bet he has a good year and throws for 68% 3,800 yards 33 TDs and 12 interceptions, and leads us to a 10-3 record and a NY 6 game

We're not losing 3 games next year. Way too much talent on offense. I think your stat predictions might be fairly accurate, but I'm worried people will see that it's lower than Burrow and then say that Brennan is bad when that would literally give him the 2nd best passing season in school history. I'm hoping people don't get their expectations too high. Myles Brennan can be worse than Burrow and still be a very good QB, and a very good QB is all we'll need with the talent he has around him.

I held my breath on the Mcmath td pass, but it was a perfect pass. How many times have we done that on Burreaux passes? A lot. The accuracy is uncanny and the receivers are also. If they continue to have the work ethic and attitude, including the o line, we could be very good next year too. Geaux Tigers.

if brennan can win 10 games in the regular season next year then it's a successful season

i expect him to be solid next year but even better as a 5th year SR ala Mett and Joe

He will probably play at a high level and it still won’t compare to Joe

I feel sorry for him. He’s got some gargantuan shoes to fill. At the first sign of trouble there will be a certain few who come on here to crap all over him. Of course soon to follow will be the self righteous indignant people who point at those handful of posts and claim all LSU fans are ridiculously unrealistic and pat themselves on the back for it.

I think we are a top-five team again next season. However, we will be a more balanced offense. As we will run the ball next season substantially more than this season.

The offensive line should be pretty good, the running backs corp will be top of the line elite, and the receiver corp will also be pretty damn elite as well. Myles Brennan will be pretty good by LSU standards, but will not be at Joe Burrow's standard.

The defense too should be pretty stout, as I think some speed guys like Cherry, McClendon, and Funia will be worked into the DL rotation. So the pass rush should overall be better as well. Webb and Ojulari will probably rotate at the Buck. Meanwhile, I'm thinking Brooks will probably try to take Delpit's old spot. Also, Stevens, Harris, and Hampton will all rotate at the Safety spots. Then Stingley and Ricks will man the corners. The linebacker corps will be pretty much the same unless Jacob Phillips heads off to the NFL.

I'm not disagreeing with you, But why would Ohio State let a player like this walk?

It may be alot of things lining up that helped Burrow succeed that Brennan will have available to help him.

It's decision making during plays. Something between the qb's ears. If MB could get 75% of JB's accomplishments then we'll be good next year.

What Burrow has done is special. Brennan will do much better than most have said he will all season, but it is really unfair to think there will be no drop off from burrow this year.

If we get Evans we may be more run heavy.

I really wish people would stop saying this. He is a talented, smart, senior qb who got to play in a potentially program changing offense surrounded by unprecedented receiving talent that only Bama can match.

Based purely on talent, the guy was projected as a late round pick, or possibly even undrafted. Burrow wasn’t some can’t miss prospect like Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck. Those guys were once-in-a-generation talents. Hell, Brennan might have more pure talent than Burrow.

This isn’t even a shot a Burrow. He’s a legend. It’s more to say we should be more optimistic that good qb’s will put up incredible numbers in this system, as opposed to Burrow being a pure talent the likes of which we will never see again, which just isn’t true.

On physical talent Joe isn't Manning or Luck, but watch him command the offense presnap and if it doesn't scream Peyton then we aren't watching the same guy.

The offense last year had zero options for him to adjust and attack the defense. Hard to use his skillset in that offense.

Regardless we forget Brennan also ran a similar offense in high school and is the record holder in Mississippi for total yards, passing yards and TD's. He has great understanding of this offense and from all accounts accuracy as well. I wont put All time records as an expectation for him but he will perform. I have faith.

There most definitely will be idiots calling him out if he doesn't throw for 350 and 3 TD's a game. Retards will be retards.
