Thats the numbers according to CFB stats. Suprised me as well. This defense is good when they can pin their ears back on third down.

I feel like we make a lot of third down stops, but teams sustain drives by going for it on fourth and short a lot because they are down by so much. 
Maybe I’m wrong, but it feels that way to me.

Maybe we’ve done better than we think on 3rd down because of the countless 3rd and Longs we always seemed to give up for a stretch of the season.
