Turnovers/penalties/stupid mistakes in 2019

I don't have the official stats on this, but it seems that this year the customary mistakes that haunt this team in critical situations has been relatively low. I credit the coaches for this. This team appears to be deliberate, focused, and unhurried, despite the fact it's an up-tempo scheme.
Well done.
Well done.

We haven't seen a team this disciplined in a long time both on and off the field.

There have obviously been lapses on defense, but the level of execution on offense has been so off the charts, a staggering level. Not just relative to LSU offenses, but from a historical perspective, this offense is up with the best.
So I agree, coaching has been on an unparalleled level for LSU. And look out for Aranda’s unit to peak at the right time..

I'd say we've been slightly below our own average with mistakes. Some, but very little improvement. Couple of special teams fails (incl. turnover). Fumbles, including in redzone. Fair number of turnovers period (our TO margin isn't bad, isn't great).
However... 3 things that are significantly different than in years past that have made a huge difference:
1. definitely not at critical times
2. not many procedural penalties that just needlessly make it hard on offense
3. With this offense, they tend not to 'change momentum'.

Crisp, clean, nearly flawless execution FROM GAME 1!!! We completely overhauled the offense. There has been zero confusion and virtually no pre-snap penalties.

The dumb penalties, personal fouls, etc have been minimal. Credit to the coaches for pounding this home and credit to players for listening, buying in, and having self conto and discipline. Since the UT win, I just had a feeling about this team that I haven't felt since 2007.
