Bought the adapter and got the HDMI cord. It’ll play on the tv if it is YouTube or something, but goes blank on live tv. Can’t stream live. Any tips or suggestions? Trying to watch LSU game

ESPN doesn’t allow streaming through the hdmi adapter anymore. Had this problem a couple weeks ago. Had to use the hot spot on my phone then connect Apple TV to the hotspot. Then it worked on the Apple TV via ESPN app.

Do you have the tv input set to the same hdmi port that you’re plugging phone into?

Most likely an HDCP handshake issue.

Ports are correct. We streaming music through the tv now. Not sure what you mean by handshake

Nanny state. Their goal in life is to make you miserable trying to do something like stick a fricking image on a TV screen. More and more apps are doing this.

I've given up on casting technology altogether.
