Good idea, this will take some time for me.
I still have a pretty long list of films to see, but I won't get through all of them amytime soon. I'll just omit the ones I haven't seen that are "up there" on most lists.
And I haven't gone through the whole thread but I don't think anyone should list a movie they haven't seen. Granted, we'll never really know, but it seems like a fair thing to ask. (Sorry if I'm stating the obvious )

This is just a marker so I know where to start from tomorrow, but I'll give an update without revealing too much:
1) One movie is crushing everything else, not hard to guess what it is.
2) If I made the cut at 100 right now, there are 8 movies tied at that spot, with 4 of those having to be cut. Probably put it up to a board vote.
3) Only two movies are outside of the Top 100 with multiple votes.
4) Hitchcock leads the list with 4 movies. (4 others tied at 3)
5) There are 55 movies in the Top 100 with single votes, so we need more ballots, because...
6) Lists have been wildly different with 162 different entries after 12 ballots.
7) I won't give it away, but there are some surprises near the top, and still some very surprising absences from the list.
8) Top 10 is very solid so far, more votes will even things out across the board, but hard to argue there.
That's all for today, good night.

QUESTION: Is it what are the top movies (as in best), or what are my top 20 favorites of all time? There's a difference.
I think you're asking for the former, but I want to be sure.
ETA: NEVERMIND. I'll just go with a mix.

Great ensemble cast. It easily makes my next twenty. I dislike Alec Baldwin, but his scene is the most dominanting 8 minutes of screen time you're ever likely to see. Pacino going off on Spacey towards the end of the movie is pretty classic, too.
Interesting tidbits: when cast members had a day off while others were working, they would drop by the set to watch and study their co-stars shooting their scenes. It also uses the word "frick" or some variation of it over 250 times...so much so, that the cast referred to the movie as "Death Of A fricking Salesman".

That is a beautiful movie, though the ending made me want to kick a hole in the TV. Reading someone's comment on IMDB about the meaning behind the ending made me feel a little better, but I think it could have been more consistent with the pacing & tone of the rest of the film. I almost included this film on my list as well.
