sounds like Rudy should have registered as a foreign agent.

You know how I know that you did not read the story?

The agreements were never executed, and there is no indication that Giuliani was ultimately paid by Lutsenko or other Ukrainian officials.

all of the retainer letters under consideration included “the necessary notice of FARA registration,” referring to the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

No money was ever received, and no legal work was ever performed

I'm sure he will be fine though.

The agreements were never executed, the agreements included the necessary notice of FARA registration, no money was ever exchange, and no legal work was ever performed. Giuliani will be fine even if this story is 100% true, because according to the story Giuliani and his partners were in compliance with the FARA laws, but that does not matter since he never actually did any work for them.

This. RG has a law firm. It isn’t just him, it is a bunch of lawyers with a bunch of clients. Individuals, corporations, government clients and even foreign clients (individual, corporate, governmental). One of the clients is DJT. Rudy represents the President as his PERSONAL lawyer. While doing work for his client (DJT) in the Ukraine, the person he was interviewing asked if his firm would be interested in doing some work for them. It’s a law firm, they don’t turn down business. They enter into negotiations, including all appropriate paperwork for foreign work, but things don’t work out and nothing comes of it. Literally nothing to see here.
