Yeah, Bailey was great, but there were lots of babes on TV back then. Seemed like every show had a hottie.

But Johnny Fever was the coolest guy on the tube since The Fonz, and I have never seen another nerd the equal to Les.

Something that I hadn't realized before...

The Turkey episode is from early in the first season of WKRP. So their best episode was one of their first.

The episode was taped before the series was on the air. So the studio audience for that episode had never heard of the series and was meeting these characters for the first time. Imagine lucking into going to some random sitcom taping and experiencing one of the best half hours of comedy ever.
