Parking questions for Aggie game

I will be driving in to town for the Texas A&M game. We will be arriving late afternoon on the day before. I have tickets but no parking passes. I realize there are lots for first come first serve. I do want to spend some time on campus strolling down memory lane but I am not sure I want to spend 10 to 12 hours prior to the game. So my question is ...could I park my car in a lot the night before and catch Uber to my hotel. Then catch a ride to the campus the next day and of course drive my car out after the game?
