Going to Seoul tomorrow. My son has been there several months teaching English. Anything that I need to see or not see while I’m there. I’ve heard that the War Museum is good and maybe going to the DMZ. Any helpful hints are most welcome.

It's been a few years since I've been to Seoul and don't have a lot to recommend other than eating a lot. Enjoy some soju, crappy cass beer and the impending hangover.

If you're there for an extended period, I'd suggest a quick trip down to Jeju - ~1hr flight for <$50RT. Beautiful island.

I never got to do the DMZ, but wish I had and would definitely do that if I ever get back there.

DMZ is great. There's a Popeyes at the observation but no clue if they have the sandwich.

North Korea doesn’t scare me as much as the folks waiting in line at Popeyes waiting for their chicken sandwich.

Both of these are definitely worth doing. The museum is huge and the JSA is one of the most surreal places I've ever been.
