At some point though, it has to be on the players. You can dial up all the blitzes and call the coverage to perfection, but if you are physically and mentally outplayed it doesn't really matter.
Oh, don’t say that on this board. I have been attacked REPEATEDLY here because I’ve aid the same thing. When a player fails, it’s NEVER his fault. It’s 100%, every time on the coaches, NO MATTER WHAT.
This board doesn’t understand that there’s a line where coaching ends and execution begins. Posters here will argue until they’re blue in the face that such a thing doesn’t exist.

and next to 0 can distinguish between the two unless you understand the scheme and assignments to each player...
and BTW, totally agreeing with you...
I for one cannot stand when people go after Aranda and they have literally no idea what hes calling.. then you look at film after the game and the guy literally has the perfect defense called for a play 83% of the game... its insane how good the guy is...

That line does exist. But when the emote D is still making the same mistakes without correction and players haven’t been shuffled or scheme hasn’t been adjusted to hide their deficiencies, then you have a coaching problem, as well. They are not mutually exclusive but any means.
