if you look at the video there's lots of mechanical 'thumping' and other tactile responses to make it feel as if you're playing a real pinball machine. having said that, i dont know how you can replicate a 'real' pinball machine but i also don't know how i can ever 'relive' my youth when most of those pinball machines are out to pasture now. this is the best compromise that exists at the moment. :/

I mean it's great if you want several types of pinball games and challenges. For me at least, if I got something like that, it would have to be an actual pinball cab. I want the real thing, it can't be replicated. It's the mechanical design of it that attracts me to look and enjoy a pinball cabinet. It being just a screen kills that for me.

The 'analog' pinball machines were and are great. Getting my hands on an original working 8 Ball Deluxe machine would be the holy grail for me. I've actually passed up deals on this machine twice...because of replacement parts, if they were available the dude would have fixed it and sold for 5 times as much.

the costs of maintenance and upkeep is getting astronomical....William's still exists but as a slot machine company now, Midway is now part of William's, I don't think Bally exists outside of Hotels. So buying replacement parts from a finite supply of stock must be at an ever rising premium.
