Dude he was a 6 time All American sprinter for the track team. Finished 3rd in the 1988 200 and 6th in the outdoor 200, placed 4th in the 200 meter indoor in 1990, won the 55 and the 200, ran a 10.18 outdoors in the 100 and was the anchor on the LSU record holding 4x100 relay team, and that’s not even half of his track accomplishments. He ran a 4.3, 40 and a 9.3, 100 yards

As a member of the committee that nominates T&F athletes for the LSU athletics HOF I can assure you I am familiar with Watkins’s accomplishments. He was a fantastic sprinter but not Olympic caliber as the previous poster suggested.
