BRFD and BRPD, by statute, get a certain percentage of the General Fund every year.

All StG taxes go straight into the General Fund because they are not yet a municipality.

Therefore, X percentage of St George’s estimated $62m tax revenue is distributed to BRFD and BRPD.

If the money is all lumped together in the general fund and those two organizations get a percentage cut rather than a set amount paid by BR, that means that a percentage of whatever StG pays in goes to those organizations.

Ok just because you write a lot still doesn't mean it's correct. First BRPD AND BRFD make calls in Stg new and old boundaries FACT. I know they told you they don't but that's a complete false statement.
Second All parish money outside the cities goes into the general fund YES......But it's used all over the parish just not hoarded by the city to overpay their fire and police.
And the fire and police of VR took no cuts. So there goes your theory of whatever you're trying to twist. So again unfortunately you're wrong again.

Well considering Bocage Lakes isn't in the city.

Yes it is.

Bocage and Bocage Lakes are in the city limits.

Jefferson Place condos and BRCC are not.

So... because you feel I’m wrong, you say I am wrong.

Not because of pesky facts or anything.

Here is a FACT about St. George; 17421 citizens voted for St. George, 14867 voted against which is why we are having this discussion.

Not even in the worst days of Fulton County using North Fulton money in South Fulton was it this bad (City of Atlanta was actually completely separate).

How did this fly for years?

$58 million was lost from city parish from STG

Around $23 million was being spent on various things STG is now on the hook for.

BR lost around $25ish million to STG.

City Parish Government has around a $1 billion budget. STG in other words took 2%......no one's missing you sorry you're not that important. Those numbers are the real numbers. No one has been STEALING your money. No one is Dying without STG.
And wait till the annexations are completed. St George will be a one road town. Enjoy Burbank.

It didn’t get noticed for a few reasons, mainly in that a new city wasn’t the main aim.

Fixing EBR schools was the original aim. That became separate schools when people were told “Go make your own.” And that became a new city when legislators like the current mayor told organizers that a city would help their chances.

If it is so unimportant to BR, why are they fighting tooth and nail to kill this?

You're wrong because you are. You know you are yet you still hold on to the fantasy you've been sold so hard you won't let yourself see you're wrong. And if I'm so wrong PROVE IT. I'll wait.........yes that means you will have to go look up facts for yourself without a prep rally cheering you on to believe hear say. It maybe a lesson you could learn from all this. Thank me later.

I find that letting you make an arse of yourself does my job better than me having to dig through the budget and pull up the statutes dedicating X% to BRFD and BRPD funding.

arse of myself?? Have you read this post.......even if I was wrong at least I'm not insanely blind.....but I'm not wrong. BRFD does have one dedicated tax that was voted on by the people of the city (proving another post wrong in this laughable thread of insanity). Other than that outside of retirements there is no LAW stating how much money the PD and FD get. PERIOD. Their budgets change every year which can easily be pointed out to prove you wrong. Some years station are built, some years brpd buys the old woman's. Some year we are on a budget crisis and can't buy anything. Those are the FACTS.
