I really hate this type of revisionist, result-based bullshite thinking. It's rampant.
All coaches encourage players to play through injury. That's the culture. Medically it's not right but it's widespread. The question is "is it possible or is it not possible (to play)?"
If it's possible, you play, if not you sit. For every one that gets a worse injury like Tua did, there are tens of others that you don't even know are hurt and you'll never know unless they tell you. You would've be able to field a damn team if everyone that was hurt sat.
So how do you go to a group of men and say this guy's injury may not even be as bad as yours but you have to play and he doesn't? You can't build a winning team like that.

Last week some of you were calling out Tua for limping after the game. Now you are bitching at Saban for playing him.
Make up your minds.
Saban is no more to blame than the two players who made the tackle. The doctors cleared the kid and Tua wanted to play.
No other coach in the country would have done a single thing different.

What do you think would happen when the Alabama team doctor tells the coaches "we should let this kid heal a few more weeks" They get a new doctor. That's what happens when millions and millions of dollars are at stake
Do you have evidence of this, or are you just making slanderous statements about Nick Saban?

Four more national titles before Saban retires: confirmed.

He had nothing to prove running a 2 min offense up 35-7 already injured!
This comment cannot be disputed. Sure, let him play, but handoffs and short passes to run down the clock.
Saban was trying to pile on for the playoff "eye test" and maybe try to keep tua in hiesman picture.
Now hes done for year and possibly longer.
