Can a president who is removed from office run for president again?

Just thinking aloud...the election is 11 months away. If Trump were removed from office (won't happen), could he run in the upcoming election? That would be the funniest thing to ever happen....the Senate votes him out...and then the American People re-elect him.
Just a thought.
This actually almost happened with a City Court judge who was removed by the La. Supreme Court a few years back. They had a special election to fill his vacated seat, and he entered the special election for his vacated seat. (Subsequently the Court intervened and said he couldn't do that....but many were nervous b/c there was no law that said he couldn't.)

Alcee Hastings was impeached from his federal judgeship, then won a congressional seat.

Yes he can run again if removed.
If the Senate removed him it would destroy the GOP as we know it.

According to the Constitution he would be prevented from ever holding elected office if convicted

There is nothing that says they can't.

Fortunately we will never have to see whether or not a President can.....at least for damned sure until January, 2025.

He will not be removed from office.
That is not their goal.
Their goal is to effect the 2020 election in the Dems favor.

Read that article. The House has options in putting together the Article of Impeachment. The Constitution says:
So they can either just remove him (which was what they did with Nixon"), or the Articles can specify removal "with disqualification to hold and enjoy any office...", which was what the Articles of Impeachment of Bill Clinton called for. Ultimately, the Senate has the final say I believe.
quote:
Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States."

The Senate could impose the federal political "death penalty" and bar the person from ever holding political office again.

The way to get Trump back in office after 2020 is to enact NESARA. This does a number of things, one being the call for new elections within 120days of enactment. Also, wipes out the IRS and income tax, establishing what is essentially the FairTax, etc...

As far as I know yes he could but if he were I have zero doubt the next step would be to have Trump arrested
They have to send a messsge that this can never happen again
How dare Trump beak up they norm in DC

If he did run again and win, he would be immediately impeached and removed again. During consequences of his removal will most likely lead to the Republicans losing a shite ton of seats in the Senate for the 2020 election. I know that I, for one, would not vote for any Republicans who even considered voting to convict the President in the Senate.
What he could do is pick Candace Owens to be his running mate, and liberals would be so afraid to have her as President, that they would let Trump remain in office...
