I wouldn't classify Fromm as an "elite" quarterback. He's a good quarterback on a really good team. Almost a system guy more than anything. I don't know enough about Herbert to say either way.

I completely agree with this. Florida 2019 is the only game he's ever won when throwing 30 or more passes. What that tells me is he isn't a huge threat to beat you when you know he's throwing the ball. If UGA's running game isn't working he can't beat you.

I don't know if Fromm is elite either, but this is splitting hairs and missing the point of the post.

Aside from that, Fromm is still high on some draft boards.

Lets just say to get to the playoffs you need a very good qb leading your team if the word "elite" causes you trouble.

Agree. Neither was Jalen Hurts his freshman year. I would not call him elite even now. I love what O is doing now. Building so much talent on both sides of the ball, we will not need a Heisman worthy quarterback to win. By the way, not saying we won't pull in elite level quarterbacks. But you never know how a high school quarterback will transition to the college level. Would not want to build a team that relies on elite play to win.
