I've spent a good portion of my life alone, well not always alone
in strange cities and countries, I absolutely love it, always an adventure, I'm going to miss that part of the job before long

There is something to be said for exploring a place on your own. Sure it's find to have a companion sometimes, but when you're alone you can do whatever YOU want to do.. at your pace. No waiting on other people, having to compromise, etc.
