AND. WE. ARE. BACK!!!!!!!
Welcome back Who Dats & Who Datettes!!! It's the Game 9/Week 10 Saints Game Thread
FALCON HATE DAY 1
Perhaps some of the luster of this match-up has been sucked out by the Falcons terrible start to the season, already 6 games back in the division race with 8 to go. However, that doesn't mean today's going to be a relaxing day out of the bye week because rivalry games be like that. But, if the Saints want to continue to prove they are the very best team in the NFL, this is a game that must not be close. This is an important stretch because it's the first of four straight games against the NFC South.
Fact is though, Matt Ryan and the Falcon pass offense is currently the best in the NFL, averaging 316.8 yards per game, so the Saints defense will have to be up to the task. The Saints are 13th in yards gained per game this season, while the Falcons are actually 9th in the league.
1 possible explanation as to why the Falcons have so much success on offense? Their defense is giving them the ball back by letting the other team score quickly. The Falcon D is the 3rd worst in the league in points per game allowed at 31.2 PPG, only behind the Dolphins & Buccaneers. The Saints defense only allows 19.5 PPG.
To make matters worse for the Falcons defense today, they're playing a Saints offense that's FINALLY back to full strength for the first time since the 1st quarter of the Rams game way back in week 2... which should be terribly scary to not just the Falcons, but the rest of the league in general
FLOCK THE DIRTY BIRDS AND SEND THEM BACK TO FATLANTA WITH THEIR 8TH L OF THE SEASON!!!!!!!!!!
As noted above, the Saints are as healthy as they possibly could be. The only player to miss Friday practice was Terron Armstead with an illness and he should be fine today. Patrick Robinson is the only player on the 52 with an injury designation as he's questionable with a hamstring injury. That means that not only is Drew Brees playing today, but so is Alvin Kamara, Jared Cook, Tre'Quan Smith on offense. JT Gray will return to bolster the special teams.
Atlanta, who is also coming off of a bye week, isn't as healthy. The Falcons will be without RB Ito Smith (neck), DE John Cominsky (ankle), & G Wes Schweitzer (head). CB Desmond Trufant (toe) practiced on a limited basis all week and is questionable. Everyone else should be good to go.
Weather: Home in the Dome today, so nice and comfy indoors today
Uniforms: For the 2nd straight game... the Saints are back in the all-blacks... perhaps their homage to the World Cup-winning New Zealand rugby team (aka the All-Blacks)
Current Standings:
NFC South
Saints 7-1
Panthers 5-3
Bucs 2-6
Falcons 1-7
Want to listen to Zach Strief & Deuce McAllister instead of Kevin Burkhardt & Charles Davis?

Sorry rt3! I was just trying to emulate our great LSU coach.
Yes. Big wins for LSU and Southern Miss yesterday. Nice Saturday afternoon of football.
Sucks that Ito Smith is out for the season with a concussion. I'm hoping the Saints can dominate today in the Superdome.
