As is known among non-retards, a battleground *state* is one that's contested in presidential elections, which of course Louisiana is not. Hence the anomaly of Trump making so many trips here.

Other than him owning a pro football team, trying to buy the Bills, and being a huge Yankee fan who went to games often.... you’re pretty much right.

This is a horrible take - Trump loves sports and was a pretty good athlete in his youth. The reason he doesn’t have a team that he is diehard about is that he loves making friends with pro athletes - he rooted / roots for guys that he’s met and hung out with like Tom Brady, Paul O’Neil, Mayweather, etc.
