Fact. Turkeys are one of those things where there are dramatic qualities between different birds. We typically get a never frozen free range bird somewhere around $6 a pound to fry while my father in law gets the standard frozen butterball for pennies a pound.

I can't tell you how dramatic of a difference there is in the birds, both visually before the cook and taste and texture after the cook. Bon Appitte bore this out in a recent YT video as well.
