Headed to South Central Illinois to do some bow hunting in the state park out there and was wondering if anyone on OB was hunting up there and had any info on deer movement. Is the rut starting to heat up or they still in the bachelor groups. Looking forward to a trip with my dad and spending some time with him. Thanks for any info and good luck to the hunters out there.

I was there a few weeks back. A good buddy of mine is there now.l and said they are wide open chasing. Which state park are you headed to?

I was up there last weekend in SE IL from Thursday to Sunday. Rut was just starting up. Scrapes are being made and some small bucks were chasing. Wasn't able to get anything. I'd say right now is the time to be there. Good luck!
